Frequently Asked Questions

First and foremost, ASE modules are built to be intuitive to use, even without any documentation. For modules that are more complex, comprehensive documentation will be provided so that you likely will have very minimal need for direct support.

Secondly, ASE is here for the long run, and selling lifetime licenses with lifetime support is just not a sustainable model. Other products may only offer lifetime license for a limited period during launch or special seasons, but ASE will try to always offer a Lifetime license with the above support policy as a trade-off. When the one-year support period has ended, an optional, paid support option will become available. Alternatively, you can always purchase the Annual license if you think you'll need ongoing support.

Finally, you'll still be able to report bugs, errors and share any general feedback via your account's support form even after your one-year support period is over. While they are not guaranteed any replies, they'll be used to improve ASE further, which will benefit Lifetime license holders as well.

So, the commitment is still the same, to keep improving and polishing ASE so it can streamline your workflow even further, saving you time and effort and allowing you to do more with the sites you manage for many years to come. ASE's support policy is just one aspect of this commitment.

You are guaranteed a full refund within 30 days after purchase if you encounter one of the following scenarios:

  • One or more feature(s) listed as included in ASE Pro at the time of purchase is missing.
  • There is an issue that makes ASE Pro, i.e. all modules, completely unusable and we are unable to resolve it within 7 days after you reported the issue.

This policy however, does not cover the following scenarios:

  • You discover an alternative product.
  • You want to test ASE Pro and decide it's not for you.
  • You simply changed your mind.
  • There is a bug/error that prevents a module from working smoothly or as expected. Let's work together to fix it.
  • There is a conflict with another plugin that renders ASE Pro completely unusable. Let's try to resolve it with the other plugin's author as well. Note that with 10,000+ sites using ASE, there are currently no reported incident of such plugin conflict.

Yes. Upgrades will be prorated, but differently between the lifetime license and the annual license, as follows...

Lifetime License

Customers who purchased a lifetime plan will be eligible for a proration discount only if they upgrade their plan within 30 days from the time of purchase. Here are some examples to illustrate how this works. The pricing serves only as an illustration, not reflective of actual ASE Pro pricing.

  • If a user purchased a 10-sites Lifetime license for $100 and after 3 days upgrades to a 100-sites Lifetime license worth $250, they are only charged $150 for the upgrade.
  • If a user purchased a 10-sites Lifetime license for $100 and after 2 monhts upgrades to a 1000-sites Lifetime license worth $500, they are charged the full $500.

So, if you're evaluating ASE Pro with a lower-tier lifetime license and are thinking of using it on more sites in the future, upgrading to a higher-tier license within 30 days would be a good choice.

Annual License

Customers which are upgrading a plan that was purchased as a subscription will receive a proration discount, based on the unused portion of their previous plan. Here an example to illustrate how this works. The pricing serves only as an illustration, not reflective of actual ASE Pro pricing.

  • If a user purchased a 10-sites Yearly license for $50 / year and after 6 months decides to upgrade to the 100-sites Yearly license worth $100 / year, the customer will still have 6 months (half) of unused period in their current billing cycle, which is worth half of $50, or $25. Therefore, the initial prorated, upgrade price will be $100 - $25 = $75. The first renewal payment will be scheduled for a year from the upgrade date and will cost $100, the normal price.

So, if you're evaluating ASE Pro with a lower-tier annual license and are thinking of using it on more sites in the future, upgrading to a higher-tier license as soon as possible is a good choice in that it will lock-in renewal price even if prices were to increase for new customers.

Upgrading from Annual to Lifetime license

It works similarly with the Annual license upgrade proration, but the amount paid will be the difference with the Lifetime license price, and obviously, there will no longer be a renewal payment in the years to come. Here's an example. The pricing serves only as an illustration, not reflective of actual ASE Pro pricing.

  • If a user purchased a 10-sites Yearly license for $50 / year and after 6 months decides to upgrade to the 100-sites Lifetime license worth $250, the customer will still have 6 months (half) of unused period in their current billing cycle, which is worth half of $50, or 25. Therefore, the prorated, upgrade price will be $250 - $25 = $225.

So, starting off with a lower-tier Annual license and upgrading to a higher-tier Lifetime license later on could be a good way to ease your way into using ASE Pro on more of your sites as your business and revenue grow.

Log in to your account and go to the Licenses section, click on the plan you're currently on and look for upgrade option there. Make sure you select the correct plan (number of sites) and billing cycle (annually vs lifetime).

Once you've completed your purchase and obtain your account login details, please do the following:

  1. Login to your Account.
  2. Go to the My Profile tab to enter your company details.
  3. Go to the Orders History tab to download an invoice with your company details.

Yes, as more Pro features are added.

The first price increase will happen on January 1, 2024, marking the end of the launch period of ASE Pro.

So, when you're done evaluating ASE Pro with a lower-tier license, and are sure that you'll use ASE on more of your sites going forward, it's best to upgrade to a higher-tier license right away.

If you choose the Annual license, this will lock-in the renewal price at the initial purchase price for you even if prices were to increase in the future for new customers.

Not at the moment. However, your Annual license's renewal price will stay the same as the initial purchase price. i.e. it won't increase for you even if prices were to increase for new customers. At that locked-in price, you'll also benefit from the continuous improvements that will be made to ASE in the future.

ASE Pro will work according to the features in the last version you have access to and have activated. You will no longer have access to newer version nor support, though you can still inform us of errors or issues you face.

Do be mindful that as everything else on the site receive updates (WordPress core, other plugins, the active theme, PHP, MySQL / MariaDB, etc.) you may encounter compatibility issues and errors with the older version of ASE Pro you have on your site.

No. If you develop locally or use dev / staging domains like .dev and .local, or subdomains like dev.site.com or staging.site.com, activation on those sites will not count towards your license's site limit. If you have a custom or uncommon development or staging URLs, please open a support ticket to have them excluded as well. More info can be found here.

If [Product Name] is something many sites use, we will definitely look into building compatibility with it. ASE has continually been improving with 100+ releases in it's first year (October 2022 - September 2023). So, please send your feedback / request via support ticket(s).

If there's enough demand for it and it's in alignment with ASE's product vision, it will be considered for implementation. ASE has continually been improving with 100+ releases in it's first year (October 2022 - September 2023). So, please send your feedback / request via support ticket(s).

Not at the moment. However, here are some features that will likely get implemented in the future for ASE Pro:

  • More page builder integration for the custom field groups feature in Custom Content Types module: Oxygen, Bricks, Breakdance, Elementor.
  • Support for more custom fields plugins in Admin Columns Manager: ACF, Meta Box, Pods, ACPT.
  • Internationalize and localize/translate ASE Pro to other languages

There are also many other suggestions / requests from users that is currently under consideration. As you can imagine, ASE covers a lot of territories, so there is a need to clearly prioritize. Your understanding and patience is much appreciated.

If you have feature suggestion / request, please login to your account and open a support ticket and explain the use case(s) you have for that feature. The more details and/or examples you provide, the better it is.

Nope. The plan is to keep improving it as the Pro version evolves further. In fact, if you look at the changelog, the launch of the Pro version (v6.0.0) coincides with the addition of a new module on the free version.

ASE does not currently support WordPress multisite. Please use at your own risk. No support will be provided for issues that arise from using ASE Pro on a multisite.

Yes. You can install and activate ASE Pro in your client sites as part of your web development service. However, only you / your account can get access to support.

No. Your acccount will be instantly banned and your license revoked if we find out about it. People who bought a license key / ASE Pro installation service from you will no longer be able to use Pro features on their sites. The only thing we can do for them is to advise them to purchase a single-site license, which will allow them to reactivate the Pro features and allow them to get official support as well.
